Remote Support Details and Options

Macintosh Support Anywhere in the World

We are now offering a customized software package for our clients called Mac HelpMate that was created by a fellow developer-consultant.
It runs primarily on the Mac OS X Operating System with some PC capabilities. (See below for more options for PC and Mac OS9)

It allows us to offer you and your staff REMOTE Macintosh Support directly to a staffer's own DESKTOP COMPUTER either in the office or on location. This solution can help where no other solution could be used and extends such support to those who travel.

Note: For Remote Support of Servers, we now can use Mac HelpMate - FinePeter Edition, Netopia’s Timbuktu Pro or another non-proprietary solution so no user needs to be there at all hours to accomplish monitoring and access. This of course can apply to desktop machines as well.

It is Very Easy to Install and Set Up

It requires NO advance software purchase or any complicated installation and configuration. The software is FREE for you to download by from our site at any time.

As long as you have an Internet connection, we can help diagnose their computer problems from anywhere in the world! Of course if the machine won't boot up this won't help but if it is a setting or a configuration or operation problem, we can do diagnostics and change configurations remotely or even help install software and updates. In our testing we have been able to connect to 99% of our existing client’s networks.

It is Safe and Secure

The computer user can be there in front of their computer for this to work and they grant us access, which ensures there is no breach in security or doing anything behind their back. All information is sent back and forth in an encrypted format. We can also setup this kind of monitoring and control in advance so no user intervention is needed which is best suited to servers.

Mac HelpMate Software is Free - Service Has Nominal Cost

You don't have to buy special remote software for all of your computers so it will save you money on that initial purchase and it may save even more money and time by avoiding an emergency on site visits just to correct a minor setting or do a quick diagnostic session on a computer.

What About Your PC Windows Computers, Laptops or Even Older Macintosh Systems?

It is easy to extend such remote support to your Windows PC computers too although we might use different software or one that is installed as part of most installations by default. Another advantage for new clients is we can establish this kind of support quickly. You would need to request and complete our Service Form Agreement supplied to you in PDF form or faxed to you, you sign it and fax it back. If you are using Internet Explorer (no longer in development), you must OPTION click on the link to download the file since it does not know how to handle image files.

ZIRO version of our Mac HelpMate - This link downloads a file that not only installs the program but starts the sharing session!
CLICK to DOWNLOAD ZIRO version: You Agree to the EULA and want to automatically start screen sharing on launch.

You will need to click on "ALLOW" when asked after download, via dialogue box, as that is a Java security check.

LogMeIn - CLICK to DOWNLOAD & Check Box on Next Page - You Agree to the vendor terms.
